Hi, hello! So just a couple of things before you start reading this series!


Hopefully, you’ve already read through the FAQs to get some idea on this AU of mine. This was my first time making a comic series of this scale– from the writing to the rendering and online advertising of the AU– it’s all from a labour of love for the DCA and my community who appreciate my works!

Introduction

Hi, hello! Beep boop! I'm Laurs-slash-Levi, pick one or call me both simultaneously– I am the artist behind Obsession Origins and Everyday Experiences, AKA YanDCA's comics. Congratulations on finishing this series with me! As promised, here are my answers to the questions you lovely, lovely people gave me on AO3!

I only did sketches and doodles for this chapter as I am soooo ready to move on from this series gahaha so don't expect high quality art on this chapter. Nonetheless, have fun reading! I have one final message and art at the end though as thanks to everyone involved :))Ps: This chapter includes casual swearing!

Corvids_bluebird2: "AWWW I LOVED THIS I LOVE READING FROM THE START ASWELL!! now forgive me for my lack of understanding but, does this mean you won't make DCA content anymore? I don't really have an answer to these especially with every fandom I make content for. It's not an immediate yes, but also not a hard no! Though I might take a step back to focus on other things and reassess how I view the DCA as I usually do every couple of months. It just so happens that this AU of mine got more audiences than usual ahah. Though I do wanna just draw them like I used to– just silly or serious illustrations, no comics kinda thing.

ZenkaiAnkoku: "My question! Can Sun and Moon be violent? What would cause them to be violent? I love the subtle sense of danger around them."RenKuro13: "Has/Will Sun&Moon ever actually been dangerous in defence of Y/N? I mean they can go out to visit them nowadays…"

They can't! Not with the way they're programmed in this AU. They can't directly or indirectly cause harm because they're not made for that, and they have codes inside them that will literally block their action (from executing the command) or straight up get deleted before it even reaches their animatronic equivalent of a command prompt. I imagine Sun and Moon's safety codes are far more aggressive than the Glamrocks as they are far more involved with childcare than the performing bots.

Sweetvictory16: "Do Sun and Moon ever have a good relationship with the other animatronics again?"

YanDCA has always been neutral with all the other animatronics. They only start to act or look hostile when their darling Y/N's involved.

Sweetvictory16: "Did Sun or Moon finally get their oh so coveted sleep-over at y/n's house?"

GAHAHA of course! I may not have been able to draw it in the panels themselves, but yes. I might draw this in the future because it's quite lovely seeing human x robot relationships (as a robot fucker myself).

Sweetvictory16: "Does y/n actually love the attendants back? Or do they see the bots more like kids or animals (as in, cute non-romantically)"RandomStranger48: "As for a question, will Y/N ever feel interested in Sun and Moon the same way they are towards them? That's genuinely up to you to decide personally! I purposely kept their relationship with each other as ambiguous so anyone can interpret their relationship as platonic and/or as romantic as they'd like.

Sweetvictory16: "Do the boys get more human outfits? If so, do Sun and Moon each have a favourite?"

YanSun's a sweater wearer, and YanMoon's more into ermmm not wearing tops and just straight up pants alone. They only have to wear a couple of layers when they're outside so they don't get caught!

Sweetvictory16: "How on earth did y/n miss the literal heart-shaped pupils? I feel like no one was being at all subtle here XD"

In defense of my beloved nonchalant Y/N, the heart-shaped pupils and coloured eyes are only meant to be representative for the reader to understand when they're in Yan Mode or not. To everyone else within the universe, they're just seeing the bois' regular eyes– blank white for Sun, and black with blue pupils for Moon.

Sweetvictory16: "Have the DCAs ever watched TV at y/n's house, and if so what did they think/watch?"

Oh oof I don't really watch a lot of TV shows to give a specific series but, YanSun watches soap opera and musicals, and YanMoon likes anime and maybe some comedic documentaries like the one with Philomena Cunk xddd

Sweetvictory16: "Finally, do Sun and Moon have a favourite daycare child, and to follow, a least-favourite parent?"

No favourites for YanSun! YanMoon, however, prefers the quieter kids than the upbeat ones.

Random_girl98: "This AU is so good!! The art is amazing love Sun and Moon in your style! <3 my question is would Sun/Moon try to have a sleepover at Y/N's place? If so what kinds of activities would they do?"

Things they usually do in the daycare like arts and crafts, but mostly just watching movies and series while eating (Y/N eats of course, the yanbois cook as they ended up learning how to for Y/N).

Nightsky0384: "What would happen on different holidays when they eventually come by? Like Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day etc (choose whatever holiday is your favorite)? Do Sun and Moon give Y/N personalized gifts on those days that Y/N been wanting for a bit?"

YanDCA are ever the supportive kind of characters so they would be preparing grandiose gestures and gifts EVERY holiday that Y/N celebrates.

Nightsky0384: "Do Sun and Moon have a birthday of some sort? Like the day they woke up? If so, did Y/N ever celebrated it with them and get them a gift?"

Hm hm hm… I've gotten this ask on Tumblr before and I didn't get to answer it so it got buried. I'd say October 10! Because when I was writing this series, I kept seeing 10:10 everywhere so I now associate it with them ahaha. And yes, Y/N does celebrate it with them albeit more simply than how the yanbois celebrate Y/N's holidays.

RenKuro13: "what if Y/N had a stalker beside them?"

Yanbois will intimidate the fuck out of said stalker (as that's all they can do, really). Kinda hard to assess whether an animatronic can harm you or not when it's basically foaming at the mouth, ready to pounce on you.

pariwritesstuff: "If you hadn’t end the comic here and chose to explore more of your YanDCA universe, would the Glamrocks be given the glitch (what Sun & Moon had) as well, giving them a chance to explore the outside world? Would they also develop love interests for people that grabbed their interest too?"

Great question! I would've had an arc where the Glamrocks receiving parts of the glitch/virus to backfire and trigger their in-game hunting behaviours again. They could indeed get the yandere side of it but that's only if they take out the codes that lock Gregory as the target– as that's where the malfunction started in the first place. The behaviour of the yanbois becoming extremely focused on Y/N is because the original target was lost in the codes and they substituted Y/N as the new target.

SnarkySharkySaysStuff: "How would Eclipse be created after this? I see that he has shown up in the "Everyday Experiences" series, but how exactly is he created and put in a separate body? I'm guessing sometime in the nebulous future, Sun and Moon are put into separate bodies for their comfort and so Fazbear can have 2 robots working at the same time (and so Y/N can get 2X the love at once), and Eclipse is found/created as a byproduct of this separation? That, or the beef jerky man in the basement has something to do with it. (beyond just having the virus spawn from him in an indirect sense. Fazbear lore hurts my brain.) If this is spoiler territory for a future series or you just don't wanna answer, please don't worry about it!"

BEEF JERKY MAN GAHAHAH[WARNING: RAMBLING]Oh my god I can finally reveal the answer to this now that the series is over ahaha! YanSun and YanMoon were given separate bodies not by FazEnt, but rather as part of Vanessa's little project in wanting to understand the roots of the virus while sympathizing with the animatronics just as much as Y/N does. As stated in the tags, this series follows the Princess Quest Ending– in which we see Vanessa being freed from the Beef Jerky Man™ after Gregory plays through the three arcade games of Princess Quest. It's popularly theorized that Vanessa was the Princess in said games which can further explain why she switched sides and joined Gregory and Glamrock Freddy's head in the ending. Given her motivations, it only makes sense she does things to enact her own vengeance against Fazbear Entertainment.After separating Sun and Moon, she (along with Y/N, Gregory, and Freddy) decided to start their answer-hunting and vigilantism with the very arcades that freed her from Afton's control in the first place. There, they found Eclipse in the Balloon World game and decided to extract him and give him a body. Since Nessa and the others are working on their own here, they can't exactly make a new animatronic of their own from scratch. Freddy can only do so much too. Hence, YanEclipse is an amalgamation of the personality chips and programming of YanSun and YanMoon (along with whatever they found inside the Balloon World arcade game)– which also includes the Yandere virus.

SnarkySharkySaysStuff: "How did you come into your art style and think of the designs for Sun/Moon? They look absolutely delicious. I can stare at how sleek they look for hours."

Aw thank you so much eheh! I don't really know… I've been in the DCA fandom (particularly Tumblr's) since 2022 and have probably seen thousands worth of art and interpretations of Sun and Moon. They probably just seeped into my subconscious and combined into the style that I draw them in now! I personally also went through a LOT of variations in drawing these celestial sillies.

SnarkySharkySaysStuff: "What inspired you to create this AU and turn it into a comic? Like, how did the thought of YanDCA come as an idea to you for the first time?"

The AU was only meant to be a one-time post thing because I saw a Yandere Wally Darling on Tumblr (by @/qep0ermint) and I wanted to do the same with the DCA. But for some reason unbeknownst to me, this AU blew up on nearly all my active socials at the time. It's now reached 1M views on TikTok! Insane! So I started expanding more on it, thus Everyday Experiences (aka the slice of life comics) became a thing. During this time, one of my friends recommended I make a series and at first I was hesitant because I've never worked on such a kind of commitment before, but I eventually caved and just went for it. So yeah, shout out to L for giving me the idea in the first place! Idk if they're reading my comics nowadays though– busy, busy lives.

She got the part of the virus that allows the animatronic vessel to roam outside of the Plex!

It's been QUITE a year spent with this series eating up most of my time and energy but I am so glad I made it and stuck to it until the very end.

FINAL MESSAGE

Wow, okay! You guys had wonderful questions and am incredibly grateful that anyone participated in the first place. That being said, I'd just like to extend my thanks to Ruth Hakobian (aka Rkiay) for volunteering to help with the colouring! She's also been a wonderful source of enthusiasm throughout the making of this series which I'd look back on on days where motivation ran very, very low. I am aware that I tend to set high standards for myself because, well, to put it bluntly, I make good art. And clearly, you guys agree too. However, every time I prove to myself that I am capable of doing something, the new goals just keep moving farther back ahah. Which is why I am really, really grateful that Ruth was there to often reassure me that I was doing something worthwhile even when I didn't always feel like it. Thank you so, so much, Ruth!


Not only that, but I'd like to thank my online friends as well who have given me their support and appreciation all throughout or even in just certain parts of the series' creation. Reem, Gray, Naku, Selkie, Olci, Franco, Carl… you guys are so, so lovely! Couldn't be more grateful to be surrounded by such skilled artists AND uplifting people.


And obviously, thank you to YOU GUYS! For reading, for commenting, for interacting, for sharing fanart! Everything that tells me what I made was seen and appreciated always makes my heart warm up (as warm as a robot's non-existent heart can get /silly). Seriously, I keep a folder of all the fanart ever given to me since I started posting content online. The only time I don't get to save y'alls' gifts is if the social media platform didn't let me for some stupid reason. Anyway, tag me in any future fanart so I can see and save them!
